Terms of Service
Effective date: 2025-06-01
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Lamina, a spine-triage and physiotherapy application operated by SpineDAO ("we", "us"). By creating an account and accepting these Terms, you enter into a binding agreement with us. Please read them together with our Privacy Notice.
1. Medical disclaimer — please read first
Lamina provides information, risk assessment, and guidance to support the management of spine-related symptoms. It is not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment and does not create a doctor–patient relationship. Always seek the advice of a qualified healthcare provider with any questions about a medical condition.
Emergencies: if you experience severe or worsening symptoms — such as loss of bladder or bowel control, progressive numbness or weakness in the legs, or other red-flag symptoms — do not rely on Lamina. Contact your local emergency services or seek immediate medical care.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) and able to enter into a binding contract to use Lamina. By accepting these Terms you confirm that you meet these requirements.
3. Your account
- You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide; triage and guidance depend on it.
- You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for activity carried out under your account.
- You may delete your account at any time using the "Withdraw consent" option in your account menu, which permanently erases your account and associated data.
4. Consent to process health data
Lamina processes special-category health data. Providing this service requires your explicit consent, which you give as a separate step when you create your account. You may withdraw that consent at any time; because we cannot deliver the service without it, withdrawing consent results in deletion of your account and data. See the Privacy Notice for details.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use Lamina for any unlawful or harmful purpose;
- submit information on behalf of another person without their authorisation;
- attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorised access to the service or its infrastructure;
- rely on Lamina as your sole source of medical decision-making.
6. AI-generated guidance
Lamina uses automated AI models to assess risk and generate guidance. These outputs are advisory only and may be incomplete or inaccurate. They are not a medical diagnosis and are not reviewed by a SpineDAO clinician. You acknowledge the limitations of AI-generated content and agree to exercise your own judgement and consult your own healthcare professional before acting on any guidance.
7. Service availability
We aim to keep Lamina available and accurate but provide it "as is" and "as available", without warranties of uninterrupted or error-free operation. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features at any time.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, SpineDAO shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, Lamina. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
9. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. The effective date above reflects the current version. Where changes are material, we will ask you to review and re-accept before you continue using the service.
10. Governing law and contact
These Terms are governed by the laws of the European Union member state in which SpineDAO is established. For questions about these Terms, contact [email protected].
